Welcome to River Valley Campground! We are located just two miles from the town of Wadena, Iowa. Nestled in the Volga River valley, our secluded campground offers 40 campsites, three furnished cabins and a clubhouse available to rent. Enjoy the view of our 2-acre private lake from your deck or campsite or rent one of our canoes or kayaks for a peaceful paddle. You can even catch and release the bass and panfish in this stocked lake! Take a stroll along the nature trail that wraps around the lake, and enjoy the local birds, wildlife, and plant life the Wadena area is known for. Campsites are available for nightly or seasonal rental and cabins can be rented nightly or by the week. Unplug from from Internet and TV; get ready for the quiet escape you have been craving!

Clubhouse Information

The Clubhouse offers space for gatherings as well as sleeping. The Clubhouse is next to the campground bathrooms. This gathering space has a kitchen, couches, a dining table, and a bar area. Host an event here or use it for overflow for guests while camping in the campground. A single twin bed is available in a separate room and also offers a fold-out couch in the living area. Picnic table and patio seating available out the sliding door.

Cabin Information
Our three cabins are located on the edge of our campground, overlooking our private 2-acre lake. All cabins are furnished and include towels and bedding. Kitchens are stocked with basic utensils, dishware, pots and pans. All three cabins feature deck or porch seating. These cabins are available to rent by calling us directly or booking through VRBO or AirBnB.

Peaceful Lakeview Cabin

The Peaceful Lakeview Cabin is perfect for a small family. The loft has a sofa bed and two single beds and overlooks the living area and kitchen. The lower bedroom has a queen-size bed and is across from the bathroom which includes a walk-in shower and a tub. The living room also offers a sofa bed for additional sleeping space. The wraparound porch gives guests a view of the pond and campground and is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Steps down to the lake allow access to a paddle boat, kayak, and fishing. Cozy Lakeview Chalet

The Cozy Lakeview Chalet is perfect for a couple or small family. The main bedroom is in the loft, accessed by a spiral staircase. The lower bedroom includes bunk beds. The sofa bed in the living room offers additional sleeping space. Within the open floor plan is a small kitchen, dining table and cabinet with games and puzzles. The large bathroom features a walk-in shower and vanity. The wrap-around porch offers views of the campground and pond. Steps down to the lake allow access to a paddle boat, kayak, and fishing.
